The NonProfit Times bills itself as "The Leading Business Publication for Nonprofit Management" and they provide numerous services and resources to the nonprofit community.They also have a number of newsletters on various nonprofit topics. 

Project Action provides services and resources to nonprofits who transport people with disabilities. They offer technical assistance, training courses, and a large library of free manuals and handbooks.

The California Disability Community Action Network tracks legislation and budget proposals that may impact seniors, the disabled and low income families. Their analysis is accurate and insightful, and they send alerts on important legislative issues. This resource can keep you in touch with what's going on at the capital and how you and your agency can get involved.

The Internal Revenue Service offers a plethora of helpful tax information for chariites and other nonprofits including an Exempt Employer's Toolkit and an EO Newsletter.

TechSoup offers popular computer software like Microsoft and Adobe products to nonprofit agencies at greatly reduced prices. They also offer training services, technology forums, and recycled hardware.

Workplace Safety

California Workers' Compensation Institute is a private, nonprofit organization of insurers and self-insured employers conducting and communicating research and analysis to improve the operation of the California workers' compensation system.

National Safety Council is a membership organization with resources on safety, health and environmental topics, training,
products, publications, news, and more.

California Department of Industrial Relations provides information on labor law, Cal/OSHA, Workers's Comp, et.

California Division of Workers' Compensation (DWC) monitors the administration of workers' compensation claims, and provides administrative and judicial services to assist in resolving disputes that arise in connection with claims for workers' compensation benefits.

Beverly Foundation supports volunteer transportation programs nationally with many resources for managers.  An example is The Mileage Reimbursement Challenge, a report on volunteer mileage reimbursement published 9/18/08.

CIMA/Volunteers Insurance Service has been in operation over 40 years, CIMA provides low-cost insurance protection for nonprofit organization, their boards and volunteers (including volunteer drivers).
