Flexible, Comprehensive Services
We have developed a flexible and comprehensive menu of services to help our members prevent accidents, injuries and illnesses and reduce the cost of claims.
We have learned that safety is more than a set of activities to prevent injuries and illnesses. Safety is the combined result of employee attitudes that guide job performance, the physical safety of the workplace, and the level of understanding about procedures and responsibilities.
Recognizing that "attitudes drive behavior," we offer our members solutions that integrate safety as a core value within their organizational cultures.
Our professional risk control staff has the knowledge to assist our members in identifying hazards, issues and behaviors that may be adversely impacting losses, and the tools to provide specific, cost-effective solutions.
Personal Attention & Assistance
NPU's membership is extremely diverse and so too are the risks they face. We work closely with each member to understand their operations and identify areas in which they may be at risk.
Our Risk Management Department will provide each member with an on-site safety assessment, tailored to your individual organizational needs. They will review administrative, training and operations functions at your site including an in-depth evaluation of your safety policies and procedures.
Following the assessment, our staff will collaborate with you to develop a site-specific plan to reduce risks and exposures. We will help you identify potential pitfalls, develop strategies to mitigate them, and provide you with the tools and resources to create a "culture of safety" within your organization.
Our staff is always available to provide assistance and advice, research issues, and develop new resources. We take great pride in answering questions and finding solutions for our members.
